Eligibility
| Eligibility Criteria | Eligibility Criteria: Must be an Indian citizen aged 18 years or older on the date of registration. The applicant must be a hands-on craftsman operating in the unorganized sector on a self-employment basis across one of the 18 recognized traditional trades (such as Carpenters, Blacksmiths, Potters, Masons, Cobblers, Barbers, Tailors, and Basket Makers). |

| Exclusions | Individuals who have availed of business loans under similar central/state credit schemes (such as PMEGP, MUDRA, or PM SVANidhi) within the past 5 years (Exception: MUDRA/SVANidhi borrowers who have fully repaid their loans can apply). Anyone employed in active Government Service (Central or State), including their immediate family members. Multiple applicants from the same family; the benefit is strictly restricted to only one member per family unit (defined as husband, wife, and unmarried children). |

| Application Process | Step 1: The artisan visits a local Common Service Centre (CSC) to initiate the application process. Step 2: Perform mobile verification via OTP, followed by mandatory online Aadhaar Biometric Authentication at the center to confirm identity. Step 3: Fill out the registration form, select the precise trade code, and upload the family's Ration Card details and bank accounts. Step 4: The application undergoes a data-matching verification pipeline: Gram Panchayat/ULB level verification (Level 1), District Implementation Committee review (Level 2), and final screening by the Screening Committee (Level 3). Step 5: Upon approval, the digital PM Vishwakarma Certificate and ID card are generated online, automatically clearing the artisan to begin basic training, claim their toolkit e-voucher, and receive the low-interest credit tranche. |
