Purpose & Benefit

ObjectiveThe WADI programme is a tribal livelihood model supported through NABARD’s Tribal Development Fund. It focuses on orchard development, agroforestry, water conservation, women empowerment, community health, micro enterprises and marketing. The model is built around a small orchard, usually one or two acres, combining fruit crops with forestry species.

Eligibility Criteria• Tribal communities.
• Small and marginal tribal farmers.
• Landholding usually not more than 5 acres.
• Cluster size of around 1000 tribal families is preferred.
• NGO, CBO, trust, society or eligible implementing agency.
• Landless families may be included up to a limited percentage

Prepare Project Feasibility Report.
